Mission
To safeguard Nepal’s snake populations and their habitats through scientific research, community-driven conservation, and public education, while mitigating human-snake conflict and advocating for ethical wildlife policies.
Our
Objectives
- Conduct scientific studies on ecological issues impacting snakes, including human-snake conflict, climate change, and habitat fragmentation.
- Promote snake conservation education through schools, youth programs, and community workshops to foster coexistence.
- Conduct programs and trainings on snake rescue and relocation, habitat restoration, and anti-poaching initiatives to conserve Nepal’s herpetofauna.
- Partner with stakeholders and organizations to integrate snake conservation into national biodiversity policies and sustainable development agendas.
- Assess threats to snake populations from urbanization, infrastructure projects, and illegal wildlife trade.
